Photography Experience With
Kearns Restaurant Group
During my work with Kearns Restaurant Group I have managed social media content for 7 concepts and 8 different restaurant locations. This includes setting up photoshoots with Management, taking relevant photos for promotions, and preparing posts with captions that pertain to each store’s individual branding.
Social Media & Promotional Videography
After Hurricane Ian, many of the restaurants in the Kearns Group were forced to close for renovations. While this created some uncertainty with how KRG as a whole would move forward, it also allowed our Marketing team to focus on each individual location and give them additional content upon their reopening’s. With approval from our Marketing Director, I took it upon myself to gather content for reels and video-based promotions.
Graphic Design With Kearns Restaurant Group
As the Digital Content Manager, a majority of my Digital Media Design AORs focused on managing or updating our content. This includes updating websites, current menus, and Holiday promotions — however, I was tasked with creating new promotional material for one-ups as well.
FGCU Food Forest Poster
This poster was created to educate students on campus about the Florida Gulf Coast University Food Forest. The two main elements that the school wanted to focus on was what the Food Forest was meant for and how the students could make use of it.
Canopy Pamphlet
Pamphlet introducing a new mobile app for St. Clair Advisory Group. I was asked to design the pamphlet and write the description and benefits of using the portal. The pamphlet was to be displayed in their office and online. I used Photoshop to edit the screen capture of the portal into the image of the phone and created the other design elements in Illustrator.
SWFL Immigration Project
A multi-media project showing the impact of the immigration regulation 287(g) on communities in Southwest Florida. I worked together with a group of three other students to create stories centered on the reaction of immigrants, lawyers and law enforcement. The project includes articles, news packages and audio stories.
I also contributed to the design of the website, using Wix to reformat the pages to fit with the theme of our project.
DACA & TPS Infographics
I created a DACA infographic to include as an additional elements for my SWFL Immigration website and social media account. The infographic includes data and other pieces of information to explain what DACA really is and how many people are affected by it.
“City of the Monkey God”
Magazine Design
I created an editorial based layout for a story about a lost city that had been found in the Honduran Rain Forest. As the theme centered around an archeological expedition, I edited the borders of the pictures to give them an appearance of something being unearthed. I also used different earth tones for the typographical elements.
Interactive Article - Incidents of Racial Discrimination on Campus
I used InDesign to create an interactive article detailing a number of incidents racial hate crimes that had happened on the Florida Gulf Coast University campus. I used buttons to lead to reader through each incidents and a map which would pinpoint separate incidents when the reader clicked on each arrow.
Typography Project
The task was to choose a quote and create a typographic design that adequately displays the meaning behind the words.
Amnesty International -
Mock App
The assignment was to create a new mobile app for a preexisting company or organization. I chose to use Amnesty International as my basis and created an app that could specifically be used to live stream incidents of political and social injustices happening around the world. The app would provide a network for those seeking help or for those wanting to provide helps for others.
Deadpool - Mock Movie Poster
This was a part of a group project to create a new poster for a movie of our choice. We decided to go with a very classic style comic book theme as the character of Deadpool is very self aware and would often break the fourth wall. A majority of the poster was made in Photoshop with a few additional elements made in Illustrator.
Telemarketer Blocking Apps
I wrote the associated article during my time with eBella magazine. The piece focused on apps which could help cell phone users who often experience issues with telemarketers and robocalls. I personally tested a few apps and described how each app works and the potential benefits they may provide in lowering the number of unwanted calls to the user.
Naples Botanical Garden Sculpture & Dinosaur Exhibit Story
